The emerging Kiwi four-piece band East York are quickly generating a unique buzz worldwide with their epic, heavy, groove-laden metal-rock.

“It’s time for everyone to hear East York! ... music that will rip your face off!” Whitfield Crane - Ugly Kid Joe, Life of Agony

Their debut EP Origins is masterfully moulded into an exciting, face-melting fusion of bands like Refused, Alice In Chains and Faith No More.

“Killer ... melodic hard rock infused with modern tones” Marzi Montazeri - Philip H. Anselmo & the Illegals, Exhorder

"Origins" was recorded by Tom Larkin (Shihad) and Jon Grace at Melbourne’s HomeSurgery, mixed by Clint Murphy (Enter Shikari, Devilskin) and mastered by Ryan Smith at Sterling Sound (AC/DC, Coldplay), their debut offering will have your yearning for more. And yes, a full length album is in the works.

Having already secured an impressive selection of rotation and regular radio airplay on Radio Hauraki, Bayrock, KaosFM, The Generator, Faction and various student and indie stations…coupled with a run of successful tours across New Zealand and Australia, East York are primed and ready to be unleashed across NZ again this April/May 2023!

“We are so excited to bring our live show to Wanaka on our upcoming tour. Wanaka is my home town now and I'm so excited to bring the East York circus to town and meet some new friends along the way!” Says Daz Coppins (Guitarist)

Joining East York in Wanaka will be joined by local legends in the making, Powder Chutes, who recently supported ZZ Top and Stone Temple Pilots. They will be a perfect pairing with their “pounding filthy rock and melodic sensibilities”.
